KEY STEPS FOR A SUCCESSFUL INSTALLATION

1.

Acclimatise

  • Please remove plastic wrap beforehand
  • Do not install where substrate temp is under 15°C
  • Do not install where ambient humidity (RH) levels > 75%
  • Minimum 48 hours in controlled environment ahead of installation, for the duration of the
installation and 48 hours post installation.

2.

Use the correct adhesive

SynSisal® ROLL & RUGS

* Please note: Gibbon Architectural does not supply underlays.

3.

Allow enough time

Do not lay in wet.

Adhesive must achieve tack-off / tack-up.

Time will be dependent on temperature, humidity, airflow and substrate absorbency.

  • SynSisal S340  –  Carpet ROLL
    • Place a small piece of carpet or finger into the adhesive.
    • When pulled away, strings or cobwebs should be apparent.

4.

Upon Completion

Do not cover with impervious materials.

Temporary Protection:

Caution:— If impervious protective covering materials are applied over the newly installed product, condensation may collect and cause serious damage to the floor covering and/or bond strength of the floor covering to the substrate. (AS/NZS:2455.1:2019).  This will void manufacturer’s warranty.
