The Impossible House
Laura Ryan courageously dreamed up The Impossible House, a sustainable house that would allow affordable living with minimal costs and be accessible to everyone. Along with interior designer, Denby Dowling, this challenging project which started in 2016, was finally completed in 2024, and they achieved the impossible.
“The Impossible House Project was a full renovation and restoration, maximising sustainable practice, prefab, solar, water and a design scheme that upcycles and includes genuinely green products, materials, solutions and suppliers”.
Denby ensured all suppliers, materials, products, furnishings, and selections adhered to authentic sustainable practices. This included using our Gibbon Rugs throughout the house and the custom-made stair runner in tretford colours, Jonquille 568 and Magenta 707, which just so happens to be one of Denby’s “…all time faves!”
