In November 2023, modulyss launched a charity project focusing on neuro-inclusive design for Carden Nursery & Primary School’s sensory classrooms. The brief was to redesign a classroom tailored to the needs of neurodiverse children. Elizabeth Loizou and Lucy Rees from Tétris Design & Build won the design competition with their thoughtful concept of what a neuro-inclusive space should be: safe, sensory-friendly, and welcoming to all.

The classroom has three zones with fluid boundaries to engage the Five Senses of touch, taste, smell, sight, and sound. Neutral colours were prioritised to create a calming atmosphere, and soft and accessible materials ensured safety and comfort. The use of rounded zoning and natural elements also supported the well-being of the children.
